You sole aim, apart from setting up a blog or website, is that it should attract visitors. There’s absolutely no use of having a site drifting around in a sea of websites and no-one comes to your site. This is where the power of WordPress comes in so handy. In general, WordPress sites are more easily ranked by the search engines than the typical.html static website. With a little tweak here and there and the help of very useful and free plugins, your site may be indexed within a matter of hours. Users will be able to testify that new blogs are often indexed and rewarded with good ranking within a day. I personally have a site that was launched and within less than 24 hours, got ranked in the sixth position on Google.
Some plugins will go with your blog files and content. But, for some blogs slight tweaking is necessary to make the new plugins to work. The tweaking should be done in content, files and data base. So, before tweaking and installing your new plugin, take the backup of your existing files and data base. Once you have installed the plugin and carried out the modifications, once again you should backup the files.
Some designers don’t believe this to be true – but in our experience, it is. Google loves content – fresh, new, updated content. So it makes perfect sense that a website built on a platform initially created to use as a blog would be favored by Google. Blogs were intended to be easy to create and publish new content for the world to see., and that’s how Google views your WordPress website.
There’s no doubt that it’s easier to get started with Google adsense if you have a Blogger account. In fact you can now apply for Adsense from within a Blogger account. Not entirely surprising considering the fact that both are owned by the same company.
If you are blogging on wordpress platform, there is a free Editorial Calendar plugin available and I highly recommend using it. You can use that as a sort of a notebook for your blog posts, and also paste in all links related to your post. When you are ready to finish the post, you open a draft, edit it and schedule or publish right away.
With the oncoming of WordPress 2.x and 3.x, technology allowed the wordpress premium themes to take advantage of more than one navbar, sidebar areas, unique fonts and visual objects. MySQL, PHP and HTML moved forward in technology, keeping in step with WordPress. This allowed programmers to do things that only user could dream of in the past.
There’s this propaganda that since Google owns Blogger, they tend to favor Blogger accounts. I won’t say that this is illogical, but from my experience, there’s no such favoritism.
